Prototype - Echo
A downloadable game for Windows and Android
As part of our first semester of graduate school our team was tasked with making a game in two weeks based off of a toy that was randomly selected by one of our team members. The toy we received was a maraca and we decided to make our game based on sound.
Echo is a 2D side scrolling shooter where players take on the role of Echo the bat as he navigates a treacherous cavern environment collection bugs and fruit while using echolocation to illuminate obstacles.
I was the lead engineer on this prototype and was responsible for implementing game play mechanics as well as the UI . I was also responsible for taking the prototype from MonoGame to Unity.
